A random guy on the internet with too many obsessions — I build websites, run robots, host my own cloud, print things in plastic, wire up smart homes, and have somehow logged over 10,000 hours gaming.
I'm Cris Mathew — a freelance web developer, network/cloud engineer and designer working under the name CrsMthw. I build modern, fast websites and consult on tech for clients who care about quality.
But I love to build just as much as I love to develop. I run an entire personal cloud out of my room. I 3D-print and sell custom parts. I wire up smart homes for friends and clients. I tinker with robots, CAD, mobile apps, and basically anything that has buttons or screens on it.
Outside of tech I'm into exotic cars, watches, fresh sneakers, and music — which has more or less been my religion since I can remember. I'll game for days with friends. I also find washing machines genuinely fascinating. Don't ask why.
An entire personal cloud on a 10th-gen i5 box with 128GB RAM, an RTX 3070, and a 4×1TB ZFS pool. Full Docker stack — Plex, ARR suite, Traefik, Authelia, Authentik, AdGuard, Immich, Vaultwarden, Headscale, Gitea, and a few dozen more. Built, rebuilt, then replicated for three friends.
Freelance web dev and tech consulting. Marketing sites, bilingual corporate builds, full e-commerce stores with Shopify and Wix. Plus business email and workspace setups — Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and my personal favorite, Proton Business Suite — along with admin and migrations.
Full home automation builds for friends and clients. Home Assistant at the core, plus voice control, CCTV systems, IP-telephony, smart intercoms, and lighting/climate integration. Every switch, sensor, and camera talking to each other.
Custom 3D printing service. Designed in CAD, printed on an Ankermake M5C, shipped to individuals and businesses. Over 30 projects delivered so far — from one-off prototypes to repeating production runs.
50+ custom gaming, workstation, and server PCs spec'd, sourced, assembled, and tuned for clients. Plus custom NAS and HTPC builds — from quiet living-room media boxes to multi-drive ZFS storage rigs. Hardware-level work, end to end.
A modern Android scorekeeper app for the Phase 10 card game. Built with Jetpack Compose and the new Material3 Expressive design system. Made while pair-coding with Claude — turns out we make a decent team.
Spotify didn't make the Android app I wanted, so I did. Minimal, beautiful, no popups, no clutter — just music.
Early-stage AI-focused business with a friend. Two Ubuntu servers, multi-domain routing behind a single home IP, Headscale mesh, Traefik v3 — the infrastructure is in place. The product is in the oven. More soon.
Arduino brains. Six ultrasonic sensors for 360° obstacle detection. A Logitech webcam where its head should be. A tiny OLED flashing the name of a company that doesn't really exist. And a robotic claw arm — because of course there's a claw arm.
I upload occasional clips and go live on YouTube. The video on the left is a montage from Team Fortress 2 — one of the favorites. If you know, you know.
